Toetudes konsultatsioonifirma ForceNine Consulting uuringule, kulutavad USA ettevõtted 1 biljon $ eetrivõrkude arengule 2005. aastal. 13$ kulub iga töötaja kohta. Hetkel domineerib WiFi kodu ja väikeettevõtja kasutuses. Algav aasta toob siia aga muutuse. WiFi kasutamine laieneb Põhja-Ameerikas haridus, tervishoiu, logistika ja jaemüügi valdkonnas. According to a new survey by ForceNine Consulting, the U.S. market for enterprise WLAN equipment is expected to reach $1 billion by 2005 with WiFi spending per enterprise employee to reach $13 each. Currently the WiFi equipment market is dominated by home and SOHO consumers, but that is expected to change in the next few months. The study claims that the federal government is the single largest untapped market for WiFi equipment and also predicts that WiFi network spending will take off in select verticals, such as healthcare, retail, and logistics. Great, just what we need, a lot of worm prone Gov't Windows CPUs on easily crackable wireless networks.
