Oleme harjunud kasutama programmi SKYPE arvutiga helistamiseks. Peagi saame helistada pihuarvuti abil.
Skype muudab pihuarvuti telefoniks.

3. Niklas Zennstrom, founder of Skype, announced that they will be releasing a version of the software for PDAs. (source: ZDNet). Couple this development with mobile phone manufacturers building Wi-Fi into cell phones and you have a device that allows you to choose between making calls on a mobile phone network and a (free) Wi-Fi network. Can you hear screams of joy at the headquarters of cell phone makers? Imagine a world in which they are no longer at the mercy of mobile phone operators. Can you calculate how much you will save by getting rid of mobile phone charges? If Wi-Fi becomes near ubiquitous and locations such as hotels and cafes start giving away Wi-Fi service (a trend that is accelerating), then you can look forward to lower communications bills. What does this do to 3G? Will anyone really use that network with its per-megabyte charges and sorry data transfer rates? Vodafone launched its UMTS service
