Luik said that the wireless Internet or wi-fi network will be installed in all Statoil service stations during this year. “The first wi-fi covered areas will be our service stations in Tallinn, whereas in Linnahalli, Järvevana and Õismäe service stations, the network equipment will be installed in the next few weeks,” she added. “After that, we and Tele2 want to move out of Tallinn and cover Pärnu, Viljandi, Tartu and Võru, and so on, as quickly as possible, until wireless Internet will be available in all the towns where the Statoil flag is flying and from then on in all of our service stations.” According to the web page www.wifi.ee, there are 130 wireless Internet coverage areas in Estonia. Statoil’s decision means that this number will quickly grow by a third, because at the moment, Statoil has 43 service stations all over Estonia. Statoil service stations are located in Tallinn, Keila, Märjamaa, Pärnu, Viljandi, Valga, Võru, Tartu, Mustvee, Rakvere, Kukruse, Jõhvi and Narva.
